Overview

The Maintenance Technicians are responsible for equipment maintenance and repair, and installation of automated and self-serve car wash equipment, and for keeping related records. This position offers consistent work schedules and a rotating weekend on-call schedule. ​ Travel is required, but rarely overnight.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of trade school or equivalent in-field technical experience
  • Understanding of low voltage control circuits and three-phase power preferred
  • Must have a valid Driver License in good standing (minimal violations on MVR)
  • General computer skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be able to lift and push/pull heavy items
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, stand and walk for duration of shift
  • Must be able to work from a ladder
  • Highly service-oriented and self-motivated

Responsibilities

  • Execute responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Use Company provided tools
  • Recommend changes in systems, programs and equipment to improve reliability, increase capability, and/​or reduce costs.
  • Troubleshoot car wash equipment-related chemical, mechanical, electromechanical, electronic equipment, and PLC controllers,
  • Diagnose and repair car wash equipment malfunctions.​
  • Perform periodic scheduled and corrective maintenance of installed equipment.​
  • Modify or update equipment when required.​
  • Maintain tools, test equipment, and materials in a professional manner.​
  • Counsel clients relating the use, operation, and maintenance of equipment.​
  • Coordinate and keep abreast of new developments and innovations leading to improved departmental and company performance.​
  • Accurately receive and convey technical information
  • Assist with training site managers on mechanical aspects of operating a car wash as needed
